Students Bristle At Faber’s Dismissive Statement

Last night we brought you a portion of the National Student Union of Belize COVID-19 forum. The participants discussed a timeline for school reopening and the web-based learning that will have to do until then. And in the last part of the forum hosted via zoom, the students said they din't like what they heard from the Minister of Education about university level learning.

And in a press release yesterday, the University of Belize deferred its reopening from the proposed May 4th, 2020 to August 1st, 2020, The opening of the new academic year.

President Sankat also spoke to considerable difficulties with internet connectivity for Students from the Toledo district. He called, once again, on Internet Providers in Belize to provide support for all students, but particularly those in Toledo.
