Dr. Manza Not Ready For Relaxation
posted (May 7, 2020)

So, Dr. Manzanero warns that another case can still appear any day.  And that is what he has also advised thew National Task Force.  To that end, the Prime Minister will have a press conference tomorrow morning - and while some are hoping he will announce relaxed measures, the chief public health authority says that he is not comfortable with the concept of relaxing measures:

Dr. Marvin Manzanero - Director of Health Services
"The word relaxation is a very touchy word, while everybody might want to relax it certainly means no relaxation for the health system it might actually mean the inverse effect. I would be very cautious about using such words, such a word. Just like I'm being very cautious about using the term that’s being used out there that we are Covid-19 free, I don’t think I have ever said that. I don’t know that relaxation is the word. I would hope that we can appreciate that we don’t have any case and that we will ensure that we have learnt our lesson and the prevention measures that we have been hear lading such as the physical distancing, the hand washing, the proper respiratory etiquette, those are kept, and we would have learnt our lesson in that regard so if we’re ever going to have some level of normal routines like we had before those level of measures need to be inserted very well into our new routines.
