Beware, The Covid Cycle
posted (May 8, 2020)
And what happens when the next case is confirmed? According to Manzanero, in that event, the public health playbook reads like shampoo bottles, rinse and repeat.

Dr. Marvin Manzanero - Director of Health Services
"You have to go back to exactly what we have gone and mind you we are reviewing every single step that we took until we got here, so we would have to go back to what we did the week of March 23rd, that particular weekend. You have to do exactly the same thing which means if you find another case that becomes your new index case in a second wave and you start your mapping exercise. If you feel that there has been a potential exposure to a greater amount of people than that first index case if you will recall there were only about 7-8 people heavily exposed or very much exposed- you go back and do that. If you find that then are you going to lockdown? You might have to go down and lockup the entire situation, the entire process we have gone through you might have to do it again and you might have to do it 1,2,3 however many times it is required throughout the year depending on what you are finding as you move along or at least that would be the recommendation. We as a ministry are going to be guided by what public health rules and regulations contact tracing tell you. It doesn't mean we are not the ones who do lockdown."
