The Ministry of Health is investigating the sudden death of an infant child in Independence Village.
Yesterday evening, 20 year old Alfredo Caal and 18 year old Filomena Ical both from Bella Vista village showed up the Independence Poly clinic with their 5 month old child, Kynslee Jasmin Caal. The child passed away shortly after arrival at the clinic and appeared to be having respiratory issues.
The family said that she had gotten a vaccine shot two day earlier on May 08th, and since then the baby had a high fever and respiratory distress.
Police say no sign of foul play was seen on the body which now awaits a post mortem examination.
The Minister of Health says that's what it is waiting for to proceed with an investigation that has already been launched.
