Some Drinks With Your Food Allowed, Not Vice-Versa
posted (May 18, 2020)
The state of emergency regulations were again adjusted today. That's after this weekend when the government monitors of social behaviour - whoever they are - observed the consumption of food with alcohol at newly re-opened outdoor restaurants. Seems they saw some people eating with their drinks, rather than the other way around. The attorney general said you can have a drink or two with your meal, but don't get carried away. Here's how the AG put it on Ask the Experts:

Hon. Michael Peyrefitte - Attorney General
"You are allowed to serve alcohol with the food. So if I go and sit at a restaurant and I am eating rice and beans or wings and fried or whatever, I can serve that food with a beer or if I am eating certain types of food or dinner whatever I can serve that dinner with some wine. Even though it's a restaurant you are allowed to serve liquor but specifically only serve that liquor with the food or maybe one drink before your food and maybe a drink after the food and then you leave. It's not like its operating like a bar. It's a restaurant and you are eating. You go there to eat, not for drinking."
