Charged For Being In Gym

17 days ago we told you about the arrest made at the Body 2000 gym, which was opened against the state of emergency regulations.

Today the owner, manager and four others appeared in court, charged for keeping a business open when it is required to close and unable to provide a reasonable explanation for movement outside of curfew.

In total 6 persons were taken before Magistrate Albert Hoare, including owner 56-year-old Mark Neal, and Manager, 53 year old Berisford Haulze, 50-year-old Kim Williams, 21-year-old, Kiandra Pow, 28-year-old, Gabriel Pow and 37-year-old Delroy Herrera.

They all pleaded not guilty and were released on bail of $1,000.

Allegations are that at 8:00 am, on May 5th, they were all found at the gym, which police said was assembling in a public place when such movement between hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 pm is prohibited.

The six are due back in court #1 on July 28th.
