FECTAB for Feinstein Development
posted (May 22, 2020)
While FECTAB has publicly criticized the Ashcroft's Waterloo Project for the Port of Belize, they are continuing to show support for the Belizean Developer, Mike Feinstein, and his Stakebank Cruise Port project.

You'll remember that in February of last year, Feinstein and the Barrow Government broke ground for his multi-million dollar cruise port project. All indications are that this development will take place finally, after many years of delays, and today, FECTAB reiterated that it still has their backing.

Here's how Almendarez explained why:

Tom Greenwood, Outgoing President, FECTAB
"We have achieved one good thing where cruise shipping is concerned and that is the 25 year solid contract we have with the Stakebank project who have always been friendly with us, who have always supported us and who are there for us. That is one given."

David Almendarez, New President, FECTAB
"We continue to work in partnership with the Feinstein Group of Companies. have guaranteed FECTAB members that we'll be able to operate when their tourism project kicks off which is stated to be in 18 months. In 18 months, we are stated to operate out of the Stakebank group. We have also established that the area that we are going to meet our guests are going to be in a well-air-conditioned world class welcoming center. Everybody who knows how our organization works know we are terminal 1, we're outside and we are always considered not good enough and never enough. Without the help of any government, with no politicians FECTAB and the Stakebank Group of Companies have partnered a relationship that will help poor people get out of poverty."

We would be remiss if we did not note the ineluctable conclusion - based on our observations of many years - that FECTAB has an arrangement with the Stake Bank Developers.
