68 Year Old Dies After Hit and Run
posted (May 26, 2020)
Another group of family members grieving a traumatic death are the loved-ones of 68-year-old Rudolph Rodriguez. At around 7 o'clock on last Saturday night, he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident on the Old Northern Highway. He suffered serious injuries from that collision, and after clinging to life for over 2 days, he passed away in his hospital bed this afternoon.

His family is claiming that police are aware of who the hit-and-run driver is, but so far have only impounded the vehicle that that knocked down Rodriguez. They are now demanding that the cops make an arrest in the name of justice for their deceased loved one.

Here's what police and the decease's nephew told us today about the case:

Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, NCIB
"On Saturday 23rd May, 2020 around 7pm there was a hit and run accident on the old northern highway about half mile on the highway where one Rudolf Rodriguez 68 years was hit by a vehicle whilst he was on the road. He was taken to the KHMH where he remains in a critical condition with various degrees of injuries. Police visited the area and conducted an investigation and they have since impounded one Chevy Trail Blazer vehicle which was found in the Maxboro area. Investigation continue into this matter."

Said Alvarez, Nephew of Deceased
"The status with my uncle is that he passed away 11:30 today based on bleeding in his brain, organ failure, respiratory problem - he was on ventilator, uncontrollable blood pressure. He was supposed to go into surgery this morning, but because of the issues internally and brain-wise the anesthesia itself wouldn't be able to withstand and that is based on the hit and run that happened on Saturday between the hours of 7pm-7:30pm. What occurred was that during the course of that time while on the Phillip Goldson Highway prior to on the curve going into the old northern highway he was hit by a black vehicle. The type and make we still don't know. But the source has told us that the car has been impounded and when it comes to the individual if he or she any charges such as NIP there is none. So far we haven't had any information from the police department. Based on the source is that the person that was driving that black vehicle is known to society. Who he or she is, we as the family still don't know. From since Saturday until today evidence apart from that vehicle being impounded we don't know. A urine or blood sample hasn't been taken. There is isn't anything that's telling us they are taking care of the case."
