The rainy season is considered to begin at the start of June and right
on cue, a warning to colleagues from Carlos Fuller at the Caribbean
Climate Change Centre in Belmopan warns that you should expect
torrential downpours that may result in flooding with rains that could
start tomorrow and last through midweek.. It’s a warning going out to
Southern Mexico and the entirety of Central America.
And, in more bad news the system responsible for the oncoming rainfall
could result in the formation of a tropical storm near the Yucatan
Peninsula either on the Caribbean side or in the Bay of Campeche.
