Ambassador Remus Li-Kuo Chen officially handed over the donation to National Security Minister Michael Peyrefitte. This is the second such donation in less than 3 months. Viewers will remember that the Taiwanese Government went through great lengths to ship 60,000 masks to Belize back in mid-April.

These new masks will be distributed among the law enforcement personnel in the BDF, the Belize Coast Guard, and the police department.

Speaking at the donation Ambassador Chen said, quote, "Amidst the global health crisis, people realize that no one can fight in this long and dreadful battle alone. As one of the most loyal friends of Belize, Taiwan will stand side by side with Belize and never leave behind our brothers and sisters here" End quote.
