posted (June 2, 2020)
Last night we told you about the missing 23 year old man whose body was found at mile three and a half on the George Price Highway. But late yesterday evening when we spoke to his aunt Gina Wade, the woman who reported him missing, she was still holding onto hope that the body found wasn't Benjamin's

Voice of: Aunt of Benjamin Reid
"The last time I saw my nephew was May 13th. He was at my house at Ross Pen Road. He left and says he was going to Los Lagos and someone would have pick him up there. From that day we never saw him again up to today we haven't seen him."

"When did you become worry enough to make that police report?"

Voice of: Aunt of Benjamin Reid
"It was going on to the third week when we didn't hear from him - no calls, no texts and he is someone that calls all the time. He would call his uncle, he would call 10-15 times for the day and up to today we haven't got any calls, no texts. I won't say he was innocent, so I don't know. It's a messed up feeling you know, because we want to know if he is okay. We are already use to him, his smile - every time you see him the first thing you would see is his beautiful teeth. We want to know is he is living, if he was the person that was found or not."

It wasn't until this morning that police showed Reid's aunt 5 photographs by which she was able to identify the body, as that of her nephew.

As we told you Benjamin's brother Albert Churchill Reid had a more definite outlook. He told us that he knew even then that his brother had been murdered.

Albert Churchill Reid, Brother of Benjamin
"I got a feeling because I can't sleep good, like he bothers me. I dream about him and like he is telling me, like he is trying to show me who do it. January 14th my birthdate my brother was born, so my mom bring him home as my birthday gift. Him and I are the same birthdate. The person who chance my brother out of his life and took away my birthday from me - he is my only baby brother they took away from me. That hurts me a lot and if anyone who do it, all I will say God bless them on their way too and everything will be okay. Benji is a nice person, loving and sweet, kind and he likes taking care of his daughter. My brother and I are close, so brother already told me everything before everything that happened, so I done know everything that happened and what went wrong. So, it's like what I said, God is up there and he has his eyes open and he knows and he sees everything. They say a lot of things about my brother that is a lie due to the system. My brother is strong. They found his decomposed for so long if that is he, for nothing. They chance him and I will find out who killed him."

A post mortem confirmed that he died of gunshot injuries to the head.

Police presently have no suspects.
