Does MOE Support School Opening?

At the top of the news, we showed you the comments from Dr. Marvin Manzanero, the Director of Health Services, who made an appearance on Ask the Experts to discuss the latest in the local fight against COVID-19, which has materialized into positive case #19, and now case #20.

Well, while he was taking questions from the general public, some Belizeans wanted to hear his views on the re-opening of pre-schools, primary schools, and secondary schools. Last night, you heard Education Minister Patrick Faber announce that classes resume in earnest on August 3rd.

So, does the Ministry of Health support that date for re-opening? Here's his response to that question:

Some viewers of the webcast also sought clarification on how the Government will approach the issue where Guatemalan students travel across the borders to attend school in Belize. The Director was asked about whether or not they would be allowed in, and here is the conversation that topic:
