According to the FFB General Secretary, he and other members of the Football Federation of Belize have already addressed these questions internally. So, from their perspective, these documents were leaked to the press to make political mischief during the election season:

"As you all know we are going into our electoral congress, the election fever is high and people would try to discredit one over the other. Most of what is pushed out to the press right now I would say is to create mischief, because we all knew from previous congresses, discussions - all the information that is asking were disclosed to them. Why now that they choose to raise of these information especially about the allegation about misappropriation. There is no misappropriation, all that information was sent to them how the money was spent, what we fall short, what we have to put back whatever. So I would say it's just mischief in trying to create and discredit an administration that has work diligently to try and bring the federation up to this level that it is. Getting rid of all those matters that have been dragging on, trying to make sure that we address our financial obligation to the government, to the public."
