UDP Looking At a July Convention
posted (June 18, 2020)

COVID may have overtaken national life, but this is still an election year - and the UDP still hasn't picked a leader to lead it into the next election. WE don't have to remind you about the ruling party's abortive leadership convention at the start of this year.

Reports now are suggesting that the Party has decided on a date for its next leadership convention.

July 12th, 2020, is the tentative date being discussed, and so far, 5 UDP parliamentarians have put their names in the hat. Those are Senate President Darrell Bradley, Pickstock's Wilfred Elrington, Collet Area Rep., Patrick Faber, Cayo North's Omar Figueroa, and Belmopan's John Saldivar.

A formal announcement from the Party is expected soon.
