You may remember the man known as "Easy Glen". His real name is Goldburne Glenford Adolphus, and he gained prominence as one of the UDP's loyal street soldiers - but with a history of con games. And, police are now accusing him of moving to northern Belize to search for new cons in a new area.
8 days ago, he was charged with 3 counts of obtaining property by deception, and reports are that the charges are connected to some sort of shady business transactions. Well, while he was in police custody on last week Friday, he was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital for medical care. While he was there, he tricked an officer into leaving him alone for a few minutes, after which, he escaped from the hospital, and from lawful custody.
Shortly after that, the cops went out searching for him, and 2 days later, they re-captured him. In a conversation with the Head of the National Criminal Investigations Branch, we asked for a few more details on Adolphus. Here's what he told us:
Adolphus is expected to be arraigned on all charges very soon.
