Four Repatriates Returned With Fevers
posted (June 23, 2020)
The Director of Health Services is also putting the public on notice that he and other health officials are monitoring 4 of the repatriates. That's because they were detected with fevers during the screening process at the airport.

An elevated temperature is one of the warning signs of a potential positive case, and so, the DHS said these 4 Belizeans will be closely monitored during their quarantine phase. Here are his comments on this topic:

Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
"One of the processes that we do when people arrive is we do an initial screening process and I can tell you that out of the people that arrived on Friday we documented 4 of them to have had fever. Those samples will be processed today. The flights that have arrived, one on Friday was the 3rd one, that's the routine process of repatriation that has been ongoing. So that health situation is monitored, there is a specific process, there is a specific situation that is done in light of that. For now, we are not too concern as a ministry of health with those cases that are popping up, on the cases that are arriving, because that's a control; process. People follow specific flow to through the airport and then they will go onto the hotel for their quarantine period."
