The Roaring Creek Police station had stood for more than half a century - but the recent upgrade of the George Price Highway and the construction of a new approach to the Roaring Creek bridge forced the police to shut down the station. They used that opportunity to build a state of the art substation - one that serves a number of Cayo South communities where crime has been sharply down this year:
