And on the softer side of today's contentious house meeting, we asked Caribbean Shores Representative Kareem Musa about his father, Said Musa, who is recovering from a stroke he suffered on May 7th.
It was described as a mild stroke, and indeed it is, but it is also a rare type of stroke, affecting the senior statesman's throat muscles and his ability to swallow. His son Kareem explained today that they will have to fly out the 76 year old former two term Prime Minister next week:
Kareem Musa told us in a sidebar that his father has NOT indicated that he plans to sit out the next general elections.
