52 Year Old Breadwinner Mysteriously Murdered
posted (June 29, 2020)
52-year-old Isaias Oroman was found on Sunday morning motionless on the side of the Bullet Tree road. He had been shot in the chest and by the time he could be transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital doctors could do nothing but declare him dead.

Oroman was originally from Guatemala but had been living in Belize for over 25 years, all that time acting as a breadwinner for his family and a surrogate father to his younger siblings.

We tracked down a younger sister Daisy Moya, in Bullet Tree Village who said she doesn't know anything about the circumstances of his death.

"As soon as we got the news we head to the place, but when we reached the body was not there anymore, so we didn't see how they found him, we just know that he was at the hospital already."

"Where was he supposed to be last night? was he coming home from work?"

Voice of: Daisy Moya, sister of deceased
"He was here around 6:30-7:00 and he told my mom that he will be back right now and he came out and from that he didn't came back. We do not have any records of that and we don't know anything about that. We just hear rumors, but we don't know if it's true or not. We were not at the scene, we don't know how it happened. He for us is a family member. We don't know him as a trouble maker. He is a brother he is a son and so sadly, they took his life, but what can I say. Whosoever did it that can be your brother, your son, one of your family members. What we are facing here is a challenge for us, because he was the older of us. I can say he was my dad, because he is the one who grew me up. He is the one who use to work for mom, we don't have a dad. He is the one that keeps the house with food every day, but God will give us the strength to carry on."

"What was it like for you and your mom this morning to get that news?"

Voice of: Daisy Moya, sister of deceased
"It was very hard, something that no one wish, but we will carry on."

Three expended shells were found next to Oroman's body along with a machete attached to a bicycle. Police have no suspects at this time and are asking the public's assistance in solving this heinous crime.
