And there is also another fatal accident to report. It happened on Saturday night around sunset near mile two on the Southern Highway. 31 year old Hilberto Tush from Maya Mopan Village was southbound when he had a head on collision with an unlicensed, un-insured Mitsubishi Montero driven by 22 year old BDF soldier Nateone Nunez.
Tush received severe injuries when he was flung to the pavement. He died sometime later while receiving emergency care at the Southern Regional Hospital.
Nateone Nunez has been formally arrested and charged for Manslaughter by neglience causing death by careless conduct, driving without due care attention, failed to provide specimen blood or urine, failed to report and accident, fail to stop and render aid, driving an unlicensed motor vehicle, which also had no insurance.
