So now, two police Corporals are charged for forging gun licenses - and
putting more illegal weapons out there on the street. It's a
fundamental betrayal of their job to uphold law and order and the
Professional Standards Branch is investigating:
Supt Dwayne Sutherland - OC, Professional Standards Branch
"The investigation led to like what Mr. Romero mentioned the detention
and charge of Corporal Oscar Itch who was charged with 10 counts of
forging and official document that investigation also led to the
detention of corporal Donald Pinelo who is also attached to the police
headquarters in Belmopan, yesterday evening. He was charged today with
six counts of forging an official document. He was taken before the
court and he was granted bail. The professional standard branch is also
investigating this matter. At the conclusion of the investigation we
will be looking at all the evidence gathered and upon viewing those
evidence, we will be preparing appropriate charges, internal
disciplinary changes that will be laid against these officers and any
other officers should that be the case."
