And, Police also discussed the case of the Mexican detainee who had
escaped from a quarantine centre in Orange Walk.
This morning at 7:00am, the BDF security facility found that 26 year
old Mexican Fransisco Hernandez has gone missing. Police determined
that he had escaped through a bathroom window by removing 3 aluminium
louvers. But, today the head of national crimes investigation told us
that he was re-captured not far from the border.

"The Mexican national that escaped from quarantine in Orange Walk, he was
recaptured by customs officers in the San Antonio, Santa Cruz road and he
was charged for illegal entry. He had been swabbed and tested negative."

"Does he get an additional charge for escape?"

"An investigation will be conducted and that will be determined."
