As you saw, UDP Senator Aldo Salazar scolded some of his colleagues for
engaging in "political nonsense", when everyone should be focusing on
possible solutions for surviving economic crisis created by the
COVID-19 pandemic.
Well, there was a whole lot of that kind of back and forth.
And, near the end of the meeting, his colleague, Church Senator Ashley
Rocke, took a different approach and implored the parliamentarians from
both political parties to collaborate to ease the suffering of
Belizeans. Here's his emotional plea:
