Belize Its First Repatriation Flight From Salvador
posted (July 3, 2020)
Right now Belize has 28 positive cases - and apart from that highly suspect case - more could have come in today. That's because for the first time, there were two repatriation flights: one a United Airlines from the US and, the other, a TAG Airlines from Salvador, bringing in Belizeans who were stranded in Latin America. Manzanero discussed these repatriation flights:

Dr. Marvin Manzanero - Director of Health Services
"We also have another flight coming in today from El Salvador and that's bringing Belizeans who have been trapped in El Salvador. So the United Airlines should have landed by now and the flight coming from El Salvador should be landing in next half and hour or so. Depending on the amount of persons that show up and are swabbed we might have to do another testing sample on Monday. I'm saying this because the numbers fluctuate, we had initially been told it was 50 plus persons that were coming on the flight then it went down to 40 and it seems that now it may be less than 20 Belizeans that are on the flight coming in the one from Houston. The other flight from El Salvador is we have been told its going to be 18 persons arriving on that flight."
