And while they are coming back legitimately through approved channels and border crossings, some Belizeans continue to play it fast and loose at the land borders.
The police and the Ministry of Health yesterday learned of a woman and her two children who came into Belizean illegally. They were found at their grandmother's home in san Lorenzo.
They are Belizeans, but have been taken to be swabbed and placed in the Orange Walk Quarantine Center. the grandmother and the kids have been placed in quarantine, while the mother is believed to have gone back to Mexico. Manzanero told the public more today:

"There is a family of Belizeans that has been taken to Orange Walk because there is some level of acknowledgement that they have been across the border and smuggled into the country. It does seem that there is a family member that lives in Mexico that brought 2 of the family members to Orange Walk and the family member in Orange Walk is the one who has acknowledge that they were in deed over in the border. So that family member and the 2 other persons are the ones who were placed in mandatory quarantine."
