Alleged Gang Members Being Sought For SOE Detention

Last night, we showed you the 24 accused gang affiliates, including 4 women, who police sent up to Belize Central Prison under the Southside State of Emergency.

At a press conference yesterday, Police Commissioner Chester Williams announced that the cops were actively looking for another group of accused trouble-makers, who will join them in jail. This morning, the department released a list of persons who are now wanted under the SOE.

They include 20-year-old Herman Solis, a resident of Diego Street; 30-year-old Calvin Palma, a resident of Lawrence Avenue; 44-year-old Jose Matus, a resident of the Halls Layout area of Corozal Town and Albert Street, Belize City; 23-year-old Harold Usher, a resident of Miller Street in Belize City; 36-year-old Clarence Grant, a resident of Mahogany Heights in the Belize District; 25-year-old Verris Ventura; a resident of Cemetery Road in Belize City; 23-year-old Hassan Flores, a resident of Guerrero Street in Belize City; 24-year-old Abel Lara, a resident of East Collet Canal in Belize City; and 20-year-old Jalen Babb, a resident of Caesar Ridge Road in Belize City. Police say that they are all wanted on the strength of a detention order under the State of Emergency Regulations for gang-related offenses.

The cops have also detained 4 men who were previously wanted under the SOE regulations. Those detainees are 28-year-old Kyle Chaplain, a resident of Mayflower Street in Belize City; 22-year-old Lionel Kelly, another resident of Mayflower Street; 24-year-old Charles Middleton, a resident of Cemetery Road in Belize City, 30-year-old Hansel Arnold, a resident of Fabers Road in Belize City, 20-year-old Tafaree Sanchez, a resident of Flamboyant Street in Belize City; and 32-year-old Dillon Diamond, a resident of Taylors Alley in Belize City.
