The weekend's other traumatic death was caused by a fatal accident where 41 year old Earl Armstrong also became a fugitive from the law this weekend. That's after a tragic accident that left his passenger 39-year-old Nestor Grant crushed beneath the wheels of his trailer.
Grant had been riding in the pan of the pickup and must have fallen out somewhere along the way. It's unknown at what point Armstrong realized what had happened because he never came forward.
This morning ACP Myvette told us that it was only through police investigation that Armstrong became implicated.

"Let me start with the first incident On Friday last sometime around 7:30pm Orange Walk police were called to the scene of a fatal accident between miles 48 and 49 on the Phillip Goldson highway that is just outside of Carmelita village where they observed an unidentified male at the time motionless on the right hand side of the highway when heading north he was later identified as Nestor Grant 39 years of a San Andres village address In Corozal district our investigation lead to the detention of one Earl Armstrong 41 years also of San Andres village what we know so far is that Earl Armstrong was travelling in a blue sonoma pickup far in at and at the time he was towing a white toyota corolla seated in the pan of the pickup at the time was the deceased Nestor Grant and he apparently fell out of the vehicle and was ran over by the second vehicle. The driver did not stop, so far ,charges have been against him for manslaughter by negligence, driving without due care and attention, drove unlicensed motor vehicle, failed to report an accident, and he should be appearing in court today."
"At this point in time we're not able to say that but because if that was the case he would have made a report and he found out that that was the case and that was not done."
