It's kind of a problem when your price is also your brand…because, what
happens to the brand when the prices changes?
Well, you take a licking! That's what Dalla Van operators are finding
out after they increased their price to two dollars.
Operators of this much used and trusted service say they can't hold at
the one dollar mark indefinitely - while the city council says they
can't decide to change it unilaterally.
Tonight, we have two sides of the story:
The Dalla Vans are currently charging two dollars for adults and one
dollars for children, plus one dollar for teens in school uniforms.
The Van drivers also say that with social distance protocols they can
only carry five passengers at a time - which also limits their revenue.
