And the Minister of National Security looked like he was the one going border patrolling today. He appeared at the hotline ceremony dressed in full military fatigue - or what is known as a battle dress uniform.
In his usual self-deprecating style, he told the crowd that his mother thought he had dressed like a toy soldier:
Hon. Micheal Peyrefitte, Minister of National Security
"Toy soldier. I was assured by the general that there still remains some cloth material for the rest of the BDF after today."
