COMPOL Wants to Close CK
posted (July 20, 2020)
One person who's not in good spirits is the owner of the CK's nightclub. The Commissioner is threatening to take away his club license and perhaps his livelihood all because of a crime that took place across the street from the club. Williams explained his rationale earlier today.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We are concerned about this CK or whatever the club name is. I was in San Ignacio yesterday. I went by to get an appreciation as to what the area looks like as well as the establishment and from my observation, the establishment is a very small building per se. From what I can discern from it is that it is not a place that is suited to be a night club and what we gather is that."

"The fact that the place is so small, it reaches its capacity very early and so prospective patrons would have to wait outside until when those who are in comes out and makes space for them, that cannot continue, and so I have spoken to the Mayor of San Ignacio Mr. Trapp and I'll be speaking to the Minister of local government today. It is my hope that we can forfeit the nightclub license that they are working under and that they can continue as a publican special and not as a night club and so that is in motion to see what can be done."
