posted (July 20, 2020)
And while even closed borders haven't been able to stop border hopping outlaws, the regular outlaws are also wreaking havoc with robberies.

A string of crimes on the outskirts of Belmopan culminated in a brazen home invasion on Saturday morning. We got the details from Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvette at this morning's police press briefing:

ACP Joseph Myvette
"On Saturday, sometime around nine a.m., police were called to Last Mountain Street in the Maya Mopan area where Gloria Tush reported to them that sometime around 9a.m., while she was at home, she was approached by four Hispanic males who were armed and they entered her home where searches were conducted while they inquired from her where was the driver of the truck. She was alone at the time. The persons then took some of her electronic items and made good their escape. It is an ongoing investigation where police were in pursuit of a vehicle and the vehicle ended up somewhere in Another World area as you mentioned. Those suspects are still being sought as this time as none of them were captured. The vehicle has since been impounded while the investigation is ongoing. Those persons in the vehicle are believe to be part of a series of robberies that have been committed within the Belmopan area."
