And while Belize is at 40 cases, the Bahamas, which reopened its airports and sea Ports three weeks ago has reported 49 new cases since borders fully opened, for a total of 153 cases.
And that's why Prime Minister Hubert Minnis said in a national address on Sunday that American Tourists will be be barred from entering the Bahams amid the re-surging COVID-19 pandemic. Minnis said quote, "The situation in the Bahamas has deteriorated "at an exponential rate since we reopened our international borders" on July 1."
And while they are closing, Belize is getting ready to open. A facebook post form Friday shows the Director of Health Services examining facilities at the PGIA.
