Was MOH Truck In Melchor?
posted (July 21, 2020)
Today, we also asked the Director of Health Services about that video which went viral on Facebook several weeks ago, from a person who claimed to have busted a Ministry of Health vehicle in Melchor.

If true, it would have been a gross violation of health standards by the officials who are supposed to be upholding them. But, the Director said that their best information suggests that it was a false report.

Here's what he had to say about that when we brought it up today:

Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
"One, the vehicle has a GPS tracker. We have managed to identify what happened. The vehicle was never in Melchor. It did not cross the border. We did ask for a report on the same night. I know that the allegations were that there were beers being placed at the back of the truck. When we went back to review the video we can't ascertain what is in the black bag. The driver says that it is his backpack that he was putting in the truck. We do know what they were doing. They were investigating two dengue cases and it maps the addresses where they were. It is close to where the investigation was happening. We couldn't take it any further than that. I mean that is what is there so it wasn't across the border."

Reporter
"You're saying that the video and the speculation around it was inaccurate?"

Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
"It would seem so yes from the evidence we have."
