And while the Ministry of Health received its ventilators. 105 schools nationwide are receiving much needed social distancing furnishings from Lord Micheal Ashcroft through his Belize Bank Limited.
Ashcroft's COVID relief fund has designated $200,000 to update the 'three-student benches' that are standard furniture in many schools. It's a situation that makes physical distancing an issue and could only be resolved by the provision of individual student armchairs.
Now 4,425 of those armchairs are poised to be delivered with the hope that they can ensure physical distancing in schools. Executive Director Lydon Giuseppe presented the funds in a handing over ceremony this morning. 7News was there.
