And from cold-blooded murder to attempted arson. It's a criminal act
that was almost perpetrated on Belize Bank's Albert street branch.
At around 2:46 this morning security footage shows a pickup truck
reassembling a ford 150 cab parking beside the building and dropping
off five tires.
And by about 3:00 a police patrol noticed the tires kindled by grass
burning beside the bank. Their quick actions may have saved the
building and resulted in no damage being done. But while the vehicle is
visible in the surveillance footage police couldn't make out the
license plate due to poor visibility.
Obviously, the connection can be drawn that this arson attempt on the
Ashcroft Alliance's flagship Belize Bank may be related to the unrest
at the Port of Belize.
