The Food and Drug Administration in the United States has flagged certain hand sanitisers containing methanol as possibly toxic. And the effect of that is now being felt in Belize where the Ministry of health yesterday put out a list of banned hand sanitisers.
First off, all the banned products originate primarily from Mexico.

Additionally, from now on all persons importing hand sanitisers must submit a long list of information including certification from a competent authority attesting to its safety.
