Belizeans who are returning on August 15th and after, still have to fill out the form for the controlled repatriation process before they arrive, and also self quarantine at home after they reach. They are also supposed to download and follow the steps on the Belize Health App - which is mandator for all persons arriving. But, the app won't be ready for rollout at that time. Dr. Russell Manzanero told us more:

"The app will be ready, but I'm understanding that the approval of the apps is another process, so that there would be the process and the time to take to actually be ready for use would be in a couple weeks. However, even though that may not be ready for the 15th August we are looking at our surveillance unit along with those at the central region will be working along with another app that we have developed to be use for the surveillance of the visitors who are to come in as well. So we do have a separate app to be use in the event that it is not available."
The tracking bracelets which tourists are supposed to wear have also not arrived in the required numbers, and only a thousand samples are here, according to reports.
