Dr Manza Says Opening Schools In January Will Likely Be Worse
posted (August 4, 2020)
And what does the Director of Health Services have to say about opening schools next week? He says there's no time like the present because the future is likely to bring more COVID cases:

Dr. Marvin Manzanero
"We have to understand that these are new norms because I hear people just saying well don't open the school until January. January could very well be the peak of the flu season so I can't tell you what's going to happen in January. If we are saying that it's going to be here at least two years until we can have vaccine and all of that, people developing immunity, then we have to anticipate that we won't have school for two years, and we will have a SOE for two years."
