This morning, National Security CEO George Lovell was asked about the
actual enforcement and monitoring of the Belizeans who will be required
to wear these tracking bracelets. He said that there will be a group of
officials who will be assigned to ensure that Belizeans follow the rule
of the tracking bracelet and the quarantine at home:

"We had the discussions at Taskforce level, and I sit on the National
Taskforce for COVID. I can tell you that one of the suggestions was that we
would have to have a dedicated staff for the monitoring of these
facilities, and that can be had at the control centre, where we already
have a control centre with monitors and so at the Police department. And
so, our idea of monitoring these devices is to have a dedicated staff to do
so, and they need to do so 24/7. Yes, the police will be required to work
hand in hand with that staff because enforcement is a matter for the police
department."
