The Rules For The Rest Of the Country
posted (August 7, 2020)
So, that is the new super-strict regulation for contraband and border jumping, but if you don't get into any of that mess, and if you don't live in San Pedro, Shipyard, Guinea Grass, and Santa Marta, life for the next 14 days will not change so drastically.

But, there will be a national curfew and state of emergency countrywide, and so you aren't free to move and operate as you please.

Here's what the Attorney General had to say about how the SOE and the curfew will work, and what you need to do to stay out of trouble:

Hon. Michael Peyrefitte - Attorney General
"For the next 14 days, the rest of the country will be on a State of Emergency too. Why? [It's] because we're instituting a curfew. You have to do a State of Emergency if you want to put in a curfew, and since we will bring back the curfew for the rest of the country, there has to be the State of Emergency declared."

"For the rest of the country, the rules will not be so strict. But, you would be mistaken if we take the not-so-strict rules for the rest of the country for granted because if we become reckless or continue to become reckless, and we get out of hand, then the whole country could go into lockdown mode again, you know."

"The whole rest of the country, except those 4 places where we have there, we'll have a curfew, and the curfew will be staggered. From Sunday to Thursday, the curfew is from 10 in the night until 5 in the morning."

"Friday night and Saturday night, it will be midnight until 5 a.m. the next day. For the rest of the country, 25 people can gather in a place. So, if you will have a party at your house, or if you will have - I don't know why anybody would want to have any party at their house now, but if you choose to, you are within the law. You can't have more than 25 people."

"Provided, that you only will have 25 people or more people where persons are residents of that property. It seems like you have some land, especially in the city, where you have more than 1 house on private property, and it comes up to like more than 25 people. Sometimes it's 30 people live in 1 yard, but there are 3-4 houses in that yard. You are allowed to have more than that, only if those people are residents of that property."
