Last night we showed you the cop who had been scalded. He was trying to get a pedestrian to put on his mask, and the man threw hot water on the police man.
Seems like an open and shut case of textbook lawless Belize City behaviour, but there is another side to this story. The man - who is now accused of aggravated assault - is Nigel Ferguson. His family says he is mentally ill and has been threatening violence to his family for weeks now.
Today we spoke to his frustrated cousin outside the police station - and she didn't know what to do with him or the police:
Nigel Ferguson was left in police custody - and he is expected to appear in court on Monday.
