And, consistent with that widening national footprint of infection, the Director of Health Services reported one hour ago the on the latest test results. 44 of 102 samples have returned positive, most of them from San Pedro.

"There is one batch that has come out today. Its confirmed now 44 samples are positive. 40 of those are in San Pedro. The remainder 3 are in Belize City, they are linked to San Pedro cases. Only one of those is from a flu clinic in Belize City. So out of the 44 samples, out of 102 that just came out, 43 are at least link to San Pedro. 40 are in the island of San Pedro. 3 are in Belize City linked to San Pedro identified cases that we had high suspicion of. Its only one that I have right now that came from a flu clinic that has no link whatsoever."
Another 83 tests are being processed and the results will be released tonight.
