Belize City police a found 2 illegal handguns in Belize City yesterday.
At around 1:30 p.m., a team of officers searched an abandoned house on Wagners Lane. After combing through the location, the officers found a black 9mm pistol which had a magazine containing 8 live rounds of ammunition.
The officers also searched an abandoned lot on the same street, and they ended up finding a second handgun. This one was a black and silver 9mm pistol, which had a black magazine containing 10 live rounds of ammunition.
Since no one was nearby when the items were found, they were deposited as found property.
