Changing gears now
In Dangriga, a 60 year old lady farmer fought off two robbers - and
took their weapons! Marian Williams told police that at 9:30 this
morning she was outside cleaning her farm in the Wagierale area when
she was approached by two dark skinned men wearing masks. One had a
home made firearm and the other a machete. They demanded drugs and
money from her. One of the men choked her, and stole her wedding ring
and earring. But she put up a fight and managed to wrest away the home
made gun and the machete. They ran off with her jewellery and she got a
small cut on her hand.
Police recovered the weapons but have no known suspects.
