Another leading Belize City restaurant, the River Tavern announced that an employee tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.
They today announced that they immediately closed the restaurant for a deep cleaning and sanitization of the premises.
They add, quote, "We are working along with the Ministry of Health to conduct a mapping exercise, and we continue to monitor the health of our other employees at The Tavern."

So, we're seeing cases pop up all over, and that's the stage we're at. But, we're also seeing the percentage of positive cases in the daily test reports going down. Today, DHS Manzanero said, don't get your hopes up; that's not a trend. He warned that we're still weeks away from the peak of this outbreak:
Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
"If you ask the Epi Unit they will tell you we probably will peak or should peak within 10-14 days and then those numbers will start to drop, provided we all do what is expected from us in terms of the contact that we have. We are the ones who are moving the virus - we the community, it's not anybody specific."
