Tonight, the National Aids Commission is raising the alarm about a possible shortage in Anti-Retroviral Medication.
A release says the National AIDS Commission Secretariat is extremely concerned over recent claims of stock out of anti-retroviral medication across the country.… the…Secretariat assures the general public, particularly People Living with HIV, that the situation will be looked into with a matter of urgency…,"
We've been looking into this story and have confirmed that there is shortage of certain drugs, but the Ministry of Health is switching over to alternative meds - which have to be gotten at the KHMH.
Experts say it's not an ideal solution - but the Minister didn't seem too worried today:
