The Hidden Valley 6 were slapped with another charge today in court. Aside from conspiracy to land an airplane, they are now faced with abetment to the importation of 1,277 pounds of cocaine for allegedly facilitating the drug plane landing on November 28th.
You will recall that after the plane crash landed in the Mountain Pine Ridge area, the cops discovered Corporal Eric Young, Jaime Maaz, Miguel Zetina, Edwin Gonzalez, Edilberto Medrano and Saulus Penner coming out of the MPR a few hours after. The next day, they found the co-pilot, Jesus Martinez Quintero. And then on the 30th, they found the cocaine.
And while they have all these pieces, there's still a lot left to this puzzle. But for now, the police are working on ensuring that these charges stick, especially since the six men - minus the co-pilot - were found miles away from the plane and the drugs.
But the police say they have circumstantial evidence that could help them in court.
And today, the seven men were arraigned on the drug charge at the San Ignacio Magistrate's Court. They have not received bail, but have a bail hearing on Friday.
