And, in closing tonight, a final goodbye for Zee Edgell the author of Belize's first post-colonial novel, Beka Lamb.
Edgell died in the US in December of 2020 but a worldwide pandemic prevented her family and by extension the state from giving her the proper sendoff until now.
But this morning, the author was honoured at Belize City's government house by daughter Holly Edgell, dear friends, representatives from her SCA Alma Mater, from Belize's community of writers, and Minister of culture Francis Fonseca.
